Refund Policy

This page covers refunds for DutyBolt software payments. It is separate from your CBP tariff refund, which CBP pays you directly.
Two different "refunds"
- Your tariff refund — the IEEPA duties CBP owes you. This is paid to you by CBP, not by DutyBolt. DutyBolt never receives or holds it.
- Your DutyBolt payment — the one-time fee you pay us for the software that prepares your files. This policy is about that fee.
Try before you pay
The refund estimate and entry classification are free. You can see exactly what DutyBolt finds — your refund figure, your Phase 1/Phase 2/excluded split — before paying anything. We encourage you to review your estimate first.
Software refund eligibility
Because plans unlock the generation and download of your CAPE files, we handle refund requests case by case:
- If a technical fault on our side prevents you from generating valid files and we cannot resolve it, you are entitled to a full refund of your DutyBolt payment.
- If you have not yet downloaded any CAPE files, contact us within 14 days of payment and we will refund you.
- Once files have been downloaded, refunds are at our discretion, since the software has delivered its output.
90-day rejection fixes
Every paid plan includes free rejection fixes for 90 days. If ACE rejects a file, our rejection decoder rebuilds it at no extra charge — you do not need a refund to get working files.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from your account email with your payment details. We respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Razorpay.
